Laura is a Chartered Accountant, Principal and Chief Operating Officer at Koustas + Co.

Upon joining the firm in 2013 as a Senior Accountant responsible for client-related tax, management and financial reporting, Laura also championed and led the implementation of a new cloud-based client superannuation software platform.  During the ensuing 2 years, Laura proved herself to be a naturally-gifted communicator who trained and mentored new staff.  The firm’s clients regularly noted that they enjoyed her positive and friendly disposition and Management noted her innate ability to distil complex technical concepts into an easily understood format for both clients and peers alike. Prior to joining Koustas & Co, Laura spent five years at a successful accounting practice that enabled her to develop and hone her skills across a wide range of technical and broader business-related disciplines.

This love for broader industry disciplines ultimately led to Laura assuming the role of Finance + Operations Manager in 2015 where she’s now not only responsible for managing the firm’s finance and compliance obligations but also, the HR and IT & T elements of the business.

Despite hailing from Orange in NSW, Laura is not fanatically wedded to Mudgee (or surrounding districts) red wine offerings and has thankfully broadened her palate to include offerings from everywhere else in Australia (i.e. Vic, SA, Tas & WA) that produces eminently more drinkable product!
